Hi,

I'm Jyotirmoy.(Do you find it hard to pronounce my name? ). My parents and all my relatives call me Baba. Some of my friends call me as Jyoti, JMS and JS also.

I'm working as a Specialist(Systems) at PicoPeta Simputers Pvt Ltd. in Bangalore. Have you heard of Simputers?

Basically I belong to Assam, the land of red-river and blue-hills, a beautiful state in the north-eastern part of India. I was born and brought up in Morigaon, a small town in central Assam. I studied in Morigaon till my matriculation. After that, I came to Cotton College, Guwahati for my higher secondary. Then I joined the Computer Science department of Jorhat Engineering College(JEC) for my engineering degree.

After passing out from JEC, I worked as a Lecturer in Computer Science department of NERIST , Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh for a brief period of five months. That was a temporary job and I never wanted to be a teacher. I decided to do my master's and got selected to do my M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering department of IIT Kanpur.

I've my parents and younger brother Bhaskar (Moina) in our family. My parents live in Morigaon. Bhaskar is currently pursuing his M.C.M (Master of Computer Management) program at Center for Management Research & Development (CMRD) in Pune.
